GUILT FREE MCDONALD'S

Yesterday I ate lunch at one of my favorite fast food joint  McDonald's. Thinking I was eating smart I decided to eat a double cheeseburger, small fry and small drink since I usually have a quarter pounder with cheese value meal which includes medium fries and medium drink. After feeling tremendous guilt  I went online to get the nutrition facts of my meal and I was totally shocked. To my disappointment my meal totaled a whopping 840 cals! I was outraged that I wasted half of my days calories on one meal. Now I have been down the road of depriving myself and failing everytime, so this time around it is not an option. So my solution is to find lower calorie items on their menu.
My first thought was to substitute the double cheeseburger for a single cheeseburger keeping the small fry and substituting a regular small drink for a diet one. The calorie total for that was 530 which saved 310 calories from my first choice but I am thinking that's still too much. So with a heavy heart because I love them so much I decided that I have to substitute the french fries with apple dippers. What a big difference that made. The total calorie count for this meal came out to be 330! If only I would have went for this option I could have saved myself a whopping 510 calories and I wouldn't felt any guilt for having a meal at one of my favorite  fast food spots.
